"Na końcu" czy "w końcu"?

Jaka jest różnica między na końcu i w końcu?
What is the difference between na końcu i w końcu?
Przeczytajcie przykłady i wszystko będzie jasne:
Read the examples and everything will be clear:

w końcu

a1. Cały tydzień padał deszcz, a dzisiaj w końcu świeci słońce.
(It was raining for the whole week and today finally the sun is shining.)
a2. No, w końcu jesteś! Czekam na ciebie już 20 minut.
(You're finally here! I've been waiting for you for 20 minutes already.)

b1. Oni w końcu są razem, czy się rozstali?
(Are they toghether in the end or have they broken up?)
b2. Może ty mi powiesz, jakie są polskie tradycje weselne? W końcu jesteś Polakiem, to chyba wiesz. (Maybe you can tell me about Polish wedding traditions. At the end, you are Pole, so you probably know.)

W przykładach a1 i a2 w końcu można zamienić na "nareszcie", "wreszcie".
Używamy tego wyrażenia, kiedy czekaliśmy na coś długo i to się zdarzyło, zostało zrealizowane.
W przykładach b1 i b2 w końcu ma trochę inne znaczenie. Mówimy tak, kiedy chcemy coś podkreślić albo zapytać o ostateczną decyzję.
In the examples a1 and a2 we can replace w końcu with nareszcie or wreszcie (finally). We use this phrase when we've been waiting for something or someone for a long time and it has been completed, finished.
In the examples b1 and b2 w końcu means at the end, at the end of the day. We use this phrase when we want to emphasize something or ask about the final decision.

na końcu

c1. Cały e-mail był po angielsku, tylko na końcu było jedno słowo po polsku: "pozdrawiam".
(The whole email was in English, only at the end there was one word in Polish "pozdrawiam".)
c2. Sklep jest na końcu ulicy, w ostatnim budynku po prawej stronie.
(The shop is at the end of the street, in the last building on the right.)

W przykładach c1 i c2 używamy wyrażenia w końcu w bardziej dosłownym, literalnym znaczeniu: coś wystąpiło, zdarzyło się przed zakończeniem.
In the examples c1 and c2 we use the phrase na końcu in a literal meaning: something occured, happened when it was ceasing, finishing.
